3rd Annual Intern Queen Party In NYC

I was fortunate enough to attend the annual Intern Queen Party hosted by Intern Queen, Lauren Berger which took place at the Ann Taylor Flagship Store in the city on 30/07/2013.

The event has been held every year, since 2011, in an effort to provide the opportunity to interns, or intern hopefuls to gain more resources in order to become successful in their intern ventures.

Her website, www.internqueen.com serves as a platform for students to access and apply to internships provided with added advice and content on how to be successful in high school, college and post-grad experiences.

The event drew a large crowd of driven and passionate individuals who intern for a vast array of companies from TEEN VOGUE to CBS.

A panel of representatives from COSMOPOLITAN Magazine, US Weekly, Johnson & Johnson, Elizabeth Arden and many more were present to speak to the crowd on how to make your internship as successful as possible, to give advice on landing the internship of your dreams and advice on the importance of being passionate about whatever it is that you do.

The night was without a doubt a success. Be sure to stop by next year for a night that you will never forget!

Special thanks to host, Lauren Berger and Ann Taylor.

OOTD: Williamsburg Vibin'

Williamsburg, Brookyln is the uniquely situated area of Brooklyn that feautures some of the borrows most elite creative natives or 'hipsters' as we all call them. What with vintage shopping and tasty storefront resto stops to take a knack at, there is always an exquisite attraction for the creative mind.

The sun was out and the cool vibes were flowing all through Williamsburg. Today my OOTD is 'Sunny Side Up Chic'. I chose an orange, gold and beige color palette as these colors complement each other so well and reflect so well amongst the vibrant, summer hues. Take a gorgeous mural of a Spanish flamenco dancer, a hint of sunny specks and a smile and you have the perfect, effortless look.

Outfit:
Gold Hair Flower: NastyGal
Gold Coin Earrings: Vintage
Beige Racer back Tank: FOREVER 21
Burnt Orange Khakis: H&M
Grey Flower Ballerinas: ZARA
Beige Handbag: Trafaluc.

Let me know what you think of my comfy ensemble and stay tuned for more OOTD's!

How To Look Stylish When Traveling: OOTD, Tips & Tricks and More!

I am going to the Big Apple!

That's right, from one fashion capital to the next, this fashionista is about to take on the city that never sleeps- New York!

Traveling for extended periods of time and looking stylish and elegant all at once seems to be a difficult and sometimes impossible task for many, but I am here to deliver the tips, tricks and secrets to traveling in style. From a 1 hour flight to a 12 hour flight, I've got just what you need to flying and arriving gorgeous. Seems UN-doable? Well, just keep on reading then!

Stylish flying attire requires you to look good all while still being in comfort. For my OOTD, today I have decided to pair my ensemble with some cool, yet useful accessories. Check it out below!

Outfit
Tribal Racer back Shirt: Primark
Black Jeans:H&M
Sunglasses: H&M
Neon Yellow Earrings: Vintage
Leopard-Print Loafers: H&M
Neon Yellow Clutch: Trafaluc.

Now that summer has hit in full force, traveling in the heat is quite the tedious task so for my top, I kept it light and designed with a tribal print racer back tank paired with slim fitting jean pants and a black braided belt with a gold clutch. I wanted to spice it up with my accessories so I opted for leopard print loafers (comfortable and stylish), matching neon yellow clutch and earrings and beige, floral print sunglasses.

Tips & Tricks: The trick here is to keep what you carry light. Like the clutch for example, instead of opting for a large, bothersome bag, keep your essentials such as your passport, boarding pass and other small items in this convenient clutch!

I will be in New York for 2 weeks so stay tuned for a lot of blog posts on an incredibly large array of subjects. I will be taking you all from the high class designer stores on 5th Ave (which is where I am staying by the way) to the quirky vintage stores of Brooklyn. You surely do not want to miss a second, so stay tuned!

Let me know what you think of my outfit and what you wear when you travel!

Ancient Hippie Quotes

I stumbled upon an old note that I posted back in 2009 on my social network page.

Just a little food for thought that I wanted to share with you all.

Enjoy!

How to be a earth-loving,litter-picking hippie in less than 24 hours :}
Just follow the steps, then join the club!

step 1:design your own tye-dye T.
step 2:complain about global warming to the people who care about it the least.
step 3: walk barefoot at school/work, just to annoy your teacher/boss
step 4:meditate on tables in public places (if, however, a mat is unavailable)
step 5:gather a bunch of forest creatures (rabbit, deer, leoplurdagon) and create your very own mini farm in your back garden

Remember hippieness is close to godliness...

Good quotes huh?
 Peace and Love!

OOTD ♥: Vintage Lovin'

I've have recently been on a spontaneous excursion around the fashion stores in Paris and I came across this super hip, vintage store called Comptoirs Du Chineur in the 4th arrondisement.

The store carries a large collection of vintage ornaments, trinkets, cd's, furniture, photos and clothing.
I was determined to purchase my very first vintage outfit and I was able to find just that- a sky blue, knee length summer dress that is cinched at the waist with black patched detail, a girly silver flower headband, ankle-strap gladiator heels and a chain bracelet with my star sign.

Check it out below!

If ever you are in and around Paris, be sure to stop by Comptoirs Du Chineur for unique vintage finds!

Lucy Hale's Interview With SEVENTEEN Magazine

I ♥ This Magazine! (This Month's Magazine Choice): SEVENTEEN Magazine

Every month I'll post different This Month's Magazine Choice' choices.
Here's whats in store in SEVENTEEN Magazine this month. And why you should go pick up your own copy now!
Gracing the cover of SEVENTEEN Magazine this month is Pretty Little Liars star, Lucy Hale. Check her out below!

On the cover, Lucy is looking oh-so a girly in a red, pink and white A line, pinstriped halter dress while a tribal necklace and gold wrist bracelet serve as accessories.

Here’s what the 24-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On Moving on From Chris Zylka
“I was just telling [my best friend] the other day that I don’t know what it’s going to take for me to want to date someone again. It just seems so exhausting. When I like someone, I fall really hard and I invest everything. When it’s gone, I’m like ‘I’m never doing that again!’”

On Overcoming Her Eating Disorder
“I’m so unbelievably lucky that I’m not like that anymore because it is a horrible way of life and it’s miserable. It consumes everything you think about and you can’t pursue things you want to do…I used to spend so many wasted days being depressed and feeling gross….I learned you have to be happy. People who are the happiest are the most beautiful."

On Her New Music
“My album is something I’m really, really, really proud of. I’ve intentionally been quiet about it because I want the music to speak for itself. People are either going to love it or hate it. But I think that once they hear it, they’ll be like, ‘Okay, she loves this and is serious about it.’ This is my pride and joy — it’s my baby! I worked my butt off on it.”

Check out some more pics of Lucy that also feature in the mag below!
