NYFW: Zac Posen

Designer, Zac Posen, debuted his Spring/Summer collection at New York Fashion Week on September 14.

The runway show took place at the epicenter of New York's Grand Central Station; Vanderbilt Hall. Posen, who is known for his regal, feminine gowns, displayed a collection with an array of "midnight" inspired frocks. With a largely black and midnight blue color palette, many of the evening gowns were draped in a soft, silk fabric that translated to anything from structural to loosely draped silhouettes. The standout piece, though, had to be the "tulip" framed gown that was adorned in a rigid, silk fabric. With Christian Louboutin providing the shoes for the show, the collection was one that was prefect for an elegant, evening affair.

NYFW: Jeremy Scott

Designer, Jeremy Scott, debuted his Spring/Summer collection at New York Fashion Week on September 14th.

The designer, who is known for his vividly eccentric and colorful statement pieces, followed through with his usual show-stopping theme with a "Mod Barbie"-inspired collection. Moschino's creative director wowed the crowd this year with a collection that made you want to play dress-up with your Barbie dolls again, what with bouncy beehive hairstyles, candy-coated makeup and dollhouse-worthy garments. Paying homage to the 1960s kitsch psychedelic culture, many of the pieces included psychedelic mod dresses, polka dot blouses, go go boots, disco dresses and pop-art-drawn two piece crop-and-skirt sets. The runway show was without a doubt a showstopper and featured model of the moment sister duo, Gigi and Bella Hadid. A favorite among celebrities such as Rihanna and Miley Cyrus, you can see why Scott's unique designs has earned him widespread popularity.
