Designer Spotlight: Chloé Spring Collection

The French, leading fashion brand, Chloé which has been around since 1952, boasts a sincere appeal to the modern 'girly-girls' of our generation. The brand is feminine, oozing a certain dreamy appeal that is fine and delicate and is what every contemporary 21st century lady wishes to rock. Chloé is a brand that speaks to every 'it-girl' out there who wishes to make a bold, but soft statement with her outfit and clothing.

This year's Spring collection struck me due to its color scheme. The main colors that were used for this line (with the exception of a few bold pieces) are an array of pastel colors such as beige's, lavenders, lilacs and baby blues. This array of colors screams just the right tone for Spring as it is a time of year where the weather is getting warmer and fresher and we all look forward to sporting some very casual, light, airy pieces while still feeling comfortable and looking stylish and dainty.

Fashionably Rockin' Item Of The Week: Green & Purple Peplum Top

Every week, I will post that week's Clothing Item Of The Week. This will be a post describing/reviewing a certain item that I find rather interesting from a certain fashion outlet which I will share with you all describing it and some rockin' ways that you can sport this item!
This week's item to die for is a green peplum top from Lulu's.

With peplum being a huge this fall season and with it carrying out into the winter season as well, I choose to incorporate it in an innocent, feminine way in the form of these oh-so girly peplum tops.

If you are looking to find a top that is womanly, graceful and classy than look no further! The pastel shades of these peplum tops make for a terrific item to rock during the fall and winter seasons as it is comfortable and very modern and elegant. Giving of a little etheral vibe..

What to pair these with?

Each of these tops look great with black skinny jeans, a gold or silver chain necklace (as shown above) and black or grey (preferably studded) wedged booties. This combination make for a rockin', put-together look. Optional: Although this look is not in dire need of a jacket, if you were to sport one, a black, buttoned torso-length jacket would be preferable.

Fashionably Rockin' Item Of The Week: Plaid Crop Jacket

Every week, I will post that week's Clothing Item Of The Week. This will be a post describing/reviewing a certain item that I find rather interesting from a certain fashion outlet which I will share with you all describing it and some rockin' ways that you can sport this item!

This week's item to die for is a plaid crop jacket from Nasty Gal.


When I first laid eyes on this piece upon scrolling through nastygal.com, I knew instantly that it had to be featured as this week's Fashionably Rockin' Item Of The Week.

This eye-catching crop jacket features a two-tone plaid print in shades of black, white and blue. Side pockets, zip closure. Ribbed at neckline, cuff and hem. Fully lined.

This jacket strikes the right color-scheme chord by creating a mutual, vivid look between blue and white and plaid. (something which is quite challenging to pull off).

One should take advantage of owning this jacket as is not only striking but it adds a slight flare of smart-casual to any outfit you wish to amp up.
