All White Bohemian: OOTD

Dakar is filled with amazing, original spaces to shoot. I was inspired by this beautiful mustard yellow wall outside of a vendor store on the outskirts of the city.

My style inspiration today is my older sister. Her style is artistic and elegant and is the perfect mutual combination of feminine class and bohemian edge.

Glowing weather and cool winds called for a chic all-white look with an added edge. She paired an elegant, white, tank maxi dress with an accent brown belt and wedges. A lace headband wrap and a black, leather tote to add some ruggedness to finish off the look.

Check out her outfit below for fashion inspiration!

OOTD: Feathery Pastel Pink

The scenery and weather seemed fitting for a splash of flower child, light pink. Pair your comfortable pastel-colored dress with an oversize brown, braided belt found in a dainty thrift shop for edge and style. Pastel feather earrings add a light bohemian touch to your outfit in just the right way.

Check out my OOTD below!

I ♥ This Magazine! (This Month's Magazine Choice): GLAMOUR UK Magazine

Every month I'll post different This Month's Magazine Choice' choices.

Here's whats in store in GLAMOUR UK Magazine this month. And why you should go pick up your own copy now!

Gracing the cover of GLAMOUR Magazine this month is country-pop princess, Taylor Swift. Check her out below!

On the cover, Taylor is looking winter-tastic in a Michael Kors Striped Cashmere Sweater and an Emilio Pucci Hat.

Here’s what the 23-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On her highly publicized, and critiqued relationship with One Direction member Harry Styles and keeping positive:
'I never read one hateful thing said about me by some 12 year old. So I got to live an actual life. And I’ve kept that mentality. Just because there’s a hurricane going on around you doesn’t mean you have to open the window and look at it.”
'You can be obsessed with the bad things people say and the good things, either way you’re obsessed with yourself and I’m not – you can become unhinged so easily. Vanity can apply to both insecurity and egotism. So I distance myself, because I feel everything.
'The little I am exposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can really control are my songs and my behaviour. The rest? If I focused on it, that would lead to insanity.'

On her take on Miley Cyrus's controversial image:
'There’s room for role models who make mistakes. There’s clearly room for role models who are made fun of at award shows, not that I necessarily enjoy being poked fun at! But that’s gonna happen to them too. Whether in a board meeting or in school or on Facebook, where they’ll get humiliated publicly.

Check out some more pics of Taylor that also feature in the mag below!

Elixir Dakar Magazine Launch

On the 24th of October, I was privileged enough to be able to attend the launch of Elixir Magazine, a new fashion, lifestyle and culture magazine that is based right here in Dakar.

Headed by CEO,Stéphane Tourné- photographer (who has shot the likes of supermodel, Liya Kebede, actor, Jake Gyllenhaal and International Senegal-born musician, Youssou Ndour, to name a few) , Elixir Magazine is the first of its kind. It is unique, contemporary and enticingly innovative. The magazine highlights an array of concepts and subjects pertaining to the emerging Dakar fashion scene and provides a platform for original artists, designers and models to showcase their ideas all with a purely Senegalese approach.

The magazine is blossoming and is sure to take Dakar and the rest of the world by storm. This culturally diverse magazine is a must-read for all people in Senegal and abroad!

Check out some snapshots of the night below!
