Tasty Tuesday's: French Gelato

In this blog, I enjoy displaying new and different concepts, ideas and places with the readers and with a blog title like 'Chocolate Cashmere Closet', it would be a crime if I did not share some of food's finest venues.

For Tasty Tuesday's, I will be giving a quick review of a particular restaurant or quick stop food place and why I think its unique and why you too should make a stop there!

Who said that the french couldn't make good gelato?

This quaint little gelato ice cream store is located in a quite street in the 5e arrondisement of Paris.

You've got the ice cream bug- but you don't want to pig out on any old, greasy ice cream, and you're looking to enjoy a deliciously evil gelato for those nonchalant street cruisin' trips? Look no further, for little Italy has presented itself in Paris.

Gelati D'alberto has a wide range of flavors to chose from. From mojito to caramel beure (butter caramel). To passion fruit and chocolate nuts. Just about anybody with a sweet tooth can ravish in these creamy delights!

One thing that makes this ice cream store stand out from the others is the presentation of their ice cream. Their ice cream is presented to you in a stunning flower petal ensemble that makes you want to just stare at your ice cream -rather than eating it!

Be sure to be greeted with a warm and friendly smile and a 'Bonne dégustation', (Happy tasting), upon receiving your gelato.

Gelati D'alberto is located on 45 rue Mouffetard and is open from 12 o'clock to midnight! (great for those late night cravings). Metro: Place Monge.

Stay tuned for more tasty treats next time!

Paris Street Style: Printed Leggings

It’s all about the prints this spring season. Whether you're rocking an imprinted blazer or shoes, prints- and multicolored versions of them, have become a must try trend for this season. One of the most popular items that Parisians are sporting are the printed leggings. We are saying goodbye to our regular denims and rocking a lighter, more fun way to wear your bottoms with these intricately designed pair.

Check it out below for fashion inspiration!

Pair these multicolored leggings, as shown above, with a non-attention grabbing loose top and a mono-toned sneaker shoe for an effortlessly cool retro chick vibe!

Keep it dressy and fancy with this intricate, checkered print legging. The theme and tone of your outfit is black and white so opt for a black heel or boot and a simple white fleece top.

These cute, winter print inspired leggings are the perfect option for an all-white outfit. Pair these leggings with a studded black boot for a rocker appeal and keep the rest of your outfit a ladylike classy by wearing a white tank and cardigan.

What do you think of these quirky leggings?

Spring Trend Report: Mickey & Minnie Mouse!

Ah, What better way to re-live our fondest childhood memories.

Mickey & Minnie Mouse. The Bonnie and Clyde of Disney. Like peanut butter to jelly, Mickey is lost without his Minnie.

This inseparable Disney coupling have become the new and fun trend to try of the current spring season.

Both have without a doubt become fashion icons in their own respects. While Mickey led the path for all high-pants-wearing charming gentlemen, Minnie paved the way for making polka dots and over-sized bows charismatic fashion statements.

What with playful colors and patterns and child-like, cheeky connotations, the Mickey & Minnie fashion theme seems to be suited for anyone of any age.

Check out this trend below for fashion inspiration and imagination.

Let your inner child roam free..

The trend has even made its mark on the runway!

The Monday Diaries: Train Rides, Starbucks, Bunny Rabbits & BE Magazine

My 'The Monday Diaries' posts are meant to bring a little inspiration to my readers. A chance to take a look at what's on my mind, what is inspiring me this week and a lovely little quote to kick off your Monday on an awesome note!

This morning before catching my train, I decided to walk into Starbucks to try something new. Other than my usual Caramel Machiatto (I get it so often the man at the cashier has already memorized my name perfectly). I had heard of the Starbucks Refresha's but I was always apprehensive to actually try one due to my debate over weather it had sugar or not (I have an incredible sweet tooth). I finally decided to inquire about it and to my delight, it was succulently sweet! And besides, with the weather rapidly warming up, a cool drink is most definitely a necessity! I ordered the Mure Hibiscus Refresha and it was so good, I almost wanted to save it for later but alas, the ice would melt. I hereby dub thee, 'the Starbucks Hibiscus Refresha', the Spring 2013 drink!

Look Beautiful On The Go!: Mini Beauty Products

Being a fabulous fashionista is no easy job, and on the days that we find ourselves overwhelmed by a packed schedule, our beauty routine should not have to also suffer.

Read on for a quick and easy beauty trick that is sure to make you go from drab to fab in a matter of seconds!

Makeup Mini-Me's!

What happens when your favorite beauty product produces an equally glamorous offspring? Mini beauty products is what.

Besides being so cute, mini beauty products do serve an actual purpose. Due to their miniscule size, they are easy to fit in your pocket or purse for any girl on the go.

Carrying regular-sized beauty products can be a hassle, and truth be told- they take up way too much space in your bag.

Why are mini beauty products so awesome?
Mini beauty products allow us to carry around our favorite beauty products while they serve their purpose. How great!

Here are some basic beauty mini essentials to make sure to always have in your purse.

Mini Lip Gloss

Clinique has come out with a great line of double-ended mini lip glosses. Can somebody say double whammy ? These purse-friendly lip glosses add just the right amount of shine for a freshly plump lip effect. Pssst!: These babies are super durable. Not only does one application stay on for hours but one tube can last you up to a month!

Mini Mascara
I believe that mini mascara is better than its regular sized counterpart. Being smaller, a lighter coat of mascara is applied thus giving off a more fresh-faced look compared to regular mascara that piles on to your lashes evoking a less than pleasant 'caked on' effect. Bare Minerals has an amazing line of volumizing mascara minis.

Mini Eyeliner
Just as it was with mini mascara, mini eyeliner tend to allow for a more lenient, lighter and more even application to your eye due to its small compactness. Bare Minerals has once again managed to produce a chic alternative for eyeliner on the go. Next time you need to re-vamp your dull eyeliner, make it stand out with this one.

Mini Hair Serum
Most hair companies usually have a smaller version to almost all of your regular hair products such as hairspray and spritzer so finding a compact bottle of your favorite hair serum should be easy. If your hair is starting to loose its vibe throughout the course of the day, pump some hair serum onto your palms, rub your hands together and gently glide the serum onto your hair strands working your way from the bottom to the top. You need not worry about having the 'over greased' look to your hair because the difference between hair oil and hair serum is that most hair serums generally generate more shine while hair oil generates that typical greasy hair look. Garnier Fructis has a great strengthening serum that boosts a healthy, fresh shine to your bare, lack-luster hair.

Pssst!: Most mini beauty products that are sold in department stores come with a convenient key chain allowing you to now clip on your products to your pockets or purse. How neat!

Let me know what you think of these convenient, everyday beauty products and which ones are in your purse!

Morning Fashion Quote (MFQ): Giorgio Armani

Need a style pick-me-up?—especially when an all out shopping spree isn’t on the menu. Write down this quote, tape it to your closet door and it’ll pretty much guarantee a good day.

style and fashion is

quality."
